The first preparatory seminar for students and faculty members participating in the fourth Owada Chair was held from 16:00 to 17:30 on Monday, September 23, 2024.
In this seminar, Professor Hisashi Owada initially presented a lecture on the historical evolution and typical modalities of UN peace operations. Then, the students discussed the possibilities and limitations of UN peace operations in English, using the Srebrenica massacre (1995) that occurred during the Bosnian War as a case study.
